The Simon's Town Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the stories of this historic naval town — from its earliest indigenous inhabitants to its vibrant present-day community.
The museum is housed in The Residency, one of Simon's Town's oldest surviving buildings, constructed in 1777 as the winter residence of the Dutch East India Company's Governor. Today it stands as a heritage landmark that connects visitors to centuries of seafaring history.
